WALKING MY WAYS
WALKING MY WAYS. A few days ago, I received a wonderful surprise. It was a thank you card from the Marina Judo dojo, where I played Santa Claus. I had done it voluntarily, because they were old friends. But I was wrong. Not only did the card have some 50 or 60 children’s signatures, crafted in each child’s personal hand writing, but included two Visa gift cards and plenty of hearts. And not only were these kids as charming and as disciplined a group of kids as I can remember, but now there was written proof. I was blown away.
Surely, life is beautiful. And filled with Love. Not only with thank you cards, but comes in many different forms. Like last night, when we served another IHELP dinner. With some of the men claiming that our dinners were their favorites. Or a new subscriber to my blog, who sent me a Happy Face, to acknowledge her thanks. Which I thoroughly appreciated. And another LONG time subscriber, who suddenly became a paid subscriber, which also stoked me.
And then I read an article in the NY TIMES about a robot companion, which did any of the following: Folded laundry, cooked, built furniture, offered sex, drove cars, rocked babies, or danced on demand. Not that I would need any or all. But doing the laundry, cooking and driving might not be bad. As well as cleaning my house. And then I even thought of giving my robot a name. PEACHES. Because PEACHES might be a stirring combination of all 3 categories.
So maybe I should follow this idea. Although I wouldn’t want PEACHES to write my blog. He/she/it, might do a better job. Or even worse, probably WOULD. But, on the other hand, PEACHES might also give me ideas. As PEACHES would not only think outside of the box. But my robot would actually BE a box. Whether that would be good or bad remains to be seen. So stay tuned. Carefully. Finis.

Hans, Could you please add a link to your podcast on every one of your wonderful posts? I am not keeping track of the link.
