WALKING MY WAYS
WALKING MY WAYS. In my opinion, most days are fulfilling. For me. As example, yesterday I walked into the Chase Bank, where one of the tellers gave me something that I had left. Or more specifically, something I had included with a recent deposit. Namely, three slips of paper, marked “CANNED TUNA.” Which were a riddle and laugh to each of us. As the slips should have been handed out in church, to remind people to bring some canned tuna. For the needy. How they ended up in my deposit envelope, is an unknown. But a good laugh.
And that morning, as I was getting up, I encountered another surprise. After taking a shower, and getting dressed, I went to my computer. But my mouse had run away. And so I looked all over. And even took out my flashlight and searched between shoes and other things on the floor. All to no avail. Suddenly, I had an epiphany and searched my clothes. And there it was, in my shirt pocket. Along with a pen and some other stuff. Miraculously, I had stuck it there.
And that afternoon, I went downtown, and visited two friends. Both outstanding artists. The first was Nicole Cromwell. Whose cheery and airy studio and gallery are packed with her art. All bright. And where we had a pleasant chat. And then I went around the corner to Juaquin Turner, and his gallery. Which is a stunning museum. He wasn’t there, but Amy, his wife was, and we had a lovely chat there, too.
And then I went across the street, to Pilgrim’s Way, one of Carmel’s last two book stores. Where I was able to order a book, without having to give my credit card. Which was an unexpected plus. And where I was able to give the book’s title, to an interested tourist, from North Carolina, who was intrigued by my purchase. In any event, the entire day was cheerful, from beginning to end. And I was delighted. Finis.

Thanks for giving Pilgrim's Way a plug, Hans. It is an awesome bookstore and a wonderful place to order books. Much better than Amazon!
Please tell us, what was the title of the book ?
