WALKING MY WAYS. Today is the first day of 2026!!!. Let me begin by wishing you a HAPPY, HEALTHY and FULFILLING New Year. In every way. Which brings up the question of resolutions. Recently, on an ASK HANS podcast, someone asked Hans about resolutions. How to make them. And keep them. And he, (me,) answered that he was not big on them. But if we do make them, they should be in small increments. So I have one for you. Why don’t you ASK HANS a question? TODAY! And you will fulfill one small resolution. It is as simple as that. Last night I celebrated New Year’s Eve with friends. With a delicious EARLY dinner. And then home, to watch Anderson Cooper and Times Square. At exactly midnight, in NYC. But only 9:00 P.M. in Carmel. Which was perfect. For me. As it was the beginning of MY New Year. With no First Night reveries. And an early bed.

And I began to think back to various New Year’s celebrations that I have encountered. Over the years. One in Reno, many years ago. Where, at the stroke of midnight, everyone stopped pulling their slot machines, turned to their left and to their right, wished their neighbors a Happy New Year, and immeditely went back to their one armed bandits. Another time, I was in a fraternity house at UCLA, the evening before the Rose Bowl. At the exact count of midnight, I suddenly had 150 new friends. As if I had known them for ever. Which I hadn’t.

In any event, the New Year is a cause for celebration. And a hope for the New Year to be better. In every way. With that in mind, let me wish you and your families the best of EVERYTHING, in 2026. Particularly in Health, Happiness, Fulfillment and PEACE. To one and to all. Much Love, Hans. Finis.
